There's also none of the interesting running against ghost times that you get to play with in the TomTom system. Much of it feels like the same information just switched around a bit rather than measures and screens that really reveal anything new. In fact, a possible criticism of the Smart Run would be that there's not perhaps as many heuristics available - both during and after your run - as you might expect. This watch has a built-in pulse detector that monitors your wrist, and that's probably the very best feature of all on this gadget. Once running, however, the watch displays your pace, your run time and, best of all, your heart rate and that's without the need of some uncomfortable Bluetooth accessory strapped around your chest. Ok, that's just the limits of GPS at the moment but, nonetheless, time spent out in the freezing cold before you're allowed to get moving is not time spent marvelling at what a wonderful gadget the Smart Run is.
